How to book

Dress code

Mallow Golf Club asks visitors to wear golf attire on the course and smart casual dress in the clubhouse. In practice that means:

On the course

  • Golf attire throughout — collared shirts with tailored trousers or tailored shorts
  • Golf shoes
  • No denim
  • No football shirts

In the clubhouse

  • Smart casual in the bar and restaurant; neat golf attire is fine after your round
  • Please change out of golf shoes and wet gear before coming inside

Forgotten something? The pro shop stocks shirts, waterproofs and shoes.

Handicaps

You do not need a handicap certificate for a casual green-fee round — just book a time and come and play. For open competitions you need a current Golf Ireland or WHS handicap; the entry fee is set for each competition and the playing limits are 28 for men and 36 for ladies. Visitors from outside Ireland can enter with a WHS handicap from their home club.

Tees: Blue 6,493 yards, White 6,234, Yellow 6,027 and Red 5,301 (par 72; out 37, in 35).

Hire

Buggies, trolleys and clubs are hired through the pro shop (ext 2). Buggies are not allowed on the course in the winter months and are limited the rest of the year, so reserve one when you book your tee time, especially at weekends and for society days.

Buggies, electric and pull trolleys and sets of clubs can be hired for your round; current hire rates are confirmed by the pro shop when you book.
